DiMarzio Model P (DP122) DiMarzio Model P (DP122)
Breathe new life into any bass by replacing its stock pickup with a DiMarzio Model P®. This hum-cancelling two-piece pickup brings a big, punchy sound to Fender Precision Bass style pickups. The DiMarzio Model P® accurately reproduces the sound of your bass with added gain and solid tone. DiMarzio Model P® pickups cut through the band without sacrificing bottom-end power. Gutsy mid-range provides growl when the bass is pushed hard. Combine the DiMarzio Model P® with a bridge position DiMarzio Model JTM and experience any tone from a tight mid-range punch to a warm bottom-end with bright, clear attack.

Recommended For: Middle position (standard Fender Precision mounting). Heavy sound with midrange emphasis. Aggressive sound designed to cut through dense tracks and loud situations.

Note: This is a two-coil pickup. With the addition of a mini switch or push-pull pot, series / parallel switching is possible with hum canceling in both positions. However, coil cutting is not possible with this pickup because both coils must be "on" to hear all four strings.

DiMarzio Model P+J Set (DP126) DiMarzio Model P+J Set (DP126)
The warm, fat tone of the DiMarzio Model P® plus the tight punch of the DiMarzio Model J™ open up the sound of any bass. This hum-canceling two-piece DiMarzio Model P® pickup brings big, punchy sound to Fender Precision Bass style pickups.

Note: This is a two-coil pickup. With the addition of a mini switch or push-pull pot, series / parallel switching is possible with hum canceling in both positions. However, coil cutting is not possible with this pickup because both coils must be "on" to hear all four strings.

The DiMarzio Model J™ bridge keeps the crunchy, focused sound of the traditional Fender Jazz Bass tone while boosting gain and response. This additional presence translates into a bigger sound with improved attack and bite; great for highly articulated finger or pick-style playing where quick response is needed. The DiMarzio Model J™ pickup's sensitivity and deep tone are also the perfect complement to the warm character of fretless basses. Double-stop glissandos and delicate violin-style vibrato speak with a classic, woody voice simply by backing off slightly on the tone controls.

Unlike traditional Js, each Model J™ is individually humbucking. It's not a stack: each coil picks up one pair of strings. By doing it this way, we keep the resistance down, and the tone clean and clear.

Note: Each neck and bridge pickup contains two coils. With the addition of a mini switch or push-pull pot, series / parallel switching is possible with hum canceling in both positions. However, coil cutting is not possible with this pickup because both coils must be "on" to hear all four strings.

EMG-P Bass Pickup EMG-P Bass Pickup

The Bass pickup of choice since it was developed. The EMG-P, like all the original EMG's, went through a redesign in 1979. The original "Embossed EMG Logo" model made everybody sit up and listen. The pre-79 models are still used by players like Lee Sklar and Alphonso Johnson. More than just a few have gravitated to the EMG-P for stage performance and studio recording. The EMG-P uses short, squat coils that have very little resistance and plenty of inductance. Because the coils are not in series like the passive types, there's about twice as much low end as a passive pickup. Ceramic magnets are used to add clarity. Countless pros use it because they find it has a natural presence, powerful lows, punchy midrange, and superior definition.

The EMG-P features hum-free noiseless operation with an even timbred response. The P design was adapted for Ned Steinberger and became the EMG-SS (Steinberger Sound) used exclusively on the Steinberger Headless Bass. In order to make the composite bass sound more natural, we added steel poles for warmth and midrange. In addition to the standard EMG-P Pickup, the EMG-P5 and EMG-P6 are available for use in five and six string basses respectively.

Package Includes: EMG's exclusive Quik-Connect™ cable, prewired solid shaft volume/tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, adjustment screws.

Options Available: Black, White, or Ivory cover cap.

11044-13 pickup for single coil precision bass®
This single coil pickup is a replica of the ones found in the early "Telecaster®" single coil P-Bass®. It has four alnico magnets for the traditional sound. Each coil is wound with plain enamel magnet wire and protected with wax coated string. Hookup wire is the classic "push back" cloth braid wire.

11044-11 pickup for precision bass® (twin coil)
The two bobbins are reverse wound and reverse polarity to make the pickup humbucking. The pickups are hand fabricated and wound using traditional techniques and use classic "push back" cloth braid hookup wire. Each pickup comes with aged black covers, schematics and mounting screws.

11044-12 pickup for precision bass®, raised "A" (twin coil)
Like the originals, Seymour uses .625" magnets on the "A" string for better string balance. The two bobbins are reverse wound, reverse polarity to make the pickup humbucking. Lace Aluma P-Bass Pickup Lace Aluma P-Bass Pickup
Aluma P™ system is one of the new “current driven” designs incorporating patented and patent pending technology from Lace®. Using two separate pickups for the high and low strings without the need for a “bucking” traditional setup, the Aluma P™ generates high output clarity with huge bottom. This tone and output were only available with a pre amp before. The Aluma P™ not only eliminates the need for a pre amp, but also has zero noise.

“These new Aluma P™ pickups are a system, in that they will not only work with a traditional 4 string bass, but by rearranging them they can work for 5 and 6 string bass applications as well” stated Jeff Lace, Vice President and designer of the Aluma P™.

Formally introduced for Earth Day, the revolutionary Aluma P™ and Alumitone® family of pickups use 95% less copper wire then standard pickup designs. By reducing the need for copper it saves valuable resources, reduces open pit mining and the very high energy need for converting copper ore to fine wireThe all passive Aluma P™ system technology also eliminates the need for a battery powered pre amp, another source of pollution for the Earth. Batteries are laden with highly toxic chemicals and most often find themselves in landfills.

The main exoskeleton of the Alumitone family is recyclable aluminum offering light weight.. This Aluminum primary offers a faster attack and higher fidelity for tone then copper. The Aluma P™ system weighs only 2.56 ounces. The light weight, in turn means less weight and cost in fuel to transport, not to mention reducing the weight of your bass.
